We took a tour which we rode on a paddle wheel boat which has thrusters on the front to help turn around in the river. It can float in less than a foot of water. We stopped at a replica Indian Village but they hire collage students who are descendants of the native Indians to show how they lived and they did several pretty nice presentations.
I also took pictures of the homes along the river for your viewing pleasure.
We did not go on this boat named Discovery II.
We did go on Discovery III.
We were there early but four busses from Princess and Holland Cruises were about an hour late.
The water is real low but soon the water will rise back up about ten foot or more.
The [lane, the plane. An airplane taking off and landing demonstration.
Some peoples trash is another mans treasures.
This is Discovery I. It does not go anywhere now.
Took a lot of pictures of homes along the river.
Kind of expensive to eat here.
Dog houses.
Dog sled demonstration where the dogs ran around the lake behind the house and back pulling the four wheeler.
Demonstration of fileting salmon while we docked to get off the boat.
They kept these Reindeer in a pen.
Turned around then docked at the Indian Village.
When we got off the boat, they put us in three groups and sat on benches while they talked to us about how they lived in the olden days.
Second dead moose in Alaska or Canada and have not seen any live ones yet.
This is a baby carrying thing where the baby had no diaper but it has a pouch.
The baby sat in in this carrier on moms back.
No mess since they take the baby out and dump the pouch out.
Oh look at that, two more dead Moose.
Nice roof where dirt and grass kept it warm.
That is a really old sled.
Another dog demonstration.
Real toilets with running water in the sinks and toilets.
Fish wheel to catch salmon and dried meat hanging.
Time to get back on the boat.
