June 21-July 2 2018 Tionesta COE Campground Pennsylvania

We had a great time at this campground.
We walked on old rail bike trails and saw the Drakes Well and museum.
Just laid back and enjoying life.

This dam is a spillway type at the campground.

These big cement fin looking things cause the water to jet upward out of the big culvert.
This is the spillway or big culvert or tunnel from the dam on other side of the hill.

The big cement fins are in there.

This is the top of the dam where there is a lake.
The water from here goes thru the big tunnel and out the other side to the spillway and the big fins.

 Tunnel.

Our view from sitting under awning at our camping spot.

Downtown Tionesta, not much here. about three city blocks long.

They are a little behind times as there is no credit card machine on the pumps.
There are a bunch of chipmunk around the campground.
And two Woodchucks or groundhougs that provide entertainment.

we walked about 4-5 miles down this paved bike route.

we walked across this old railroad trestle which is now a walking or bike riding path.

A deer found us.

A town use tobe here. these are replica towers.
Replica of a boat with barrels inside showing how they transported oil down river.

a one lane bridge with a 5 ton limit, Glad we drove the jeep.
a stop for the steam trains that run on the weekend for tourist.

We will be burning some coal Susan found on the tracks.
More pictures of the Tionesta spillway.

Chipmunk making a new home on the motorhome next to our campsite.
This bridge is really old and they are cutting out the cement roadway and replacing rusty pipes.
this is at the entry to the campground but there is a dirt road entry also with a ton of potholes.
