Jan 1 2019 - Left Gulfport and drove thru New Orleans and Baton Rouge

This is pictures of Shields Military campground.

 Family Dollar was busy.
Trucks parked across the street were noisy as could be.
Nice full hookup on cement pad and ground was soaked.

Left Sheilds and heading past New Orleans and past Baton Rouge to get RV aligned.

 Welcome to Louisiana.

I do not know the name or how long this bridge is on I-10 but it covered a lot of swamp.
Seemed like five miles or more long to me.

We drove over one of these old draw bridges in the Jeep. I don,t know if it would hold the 20,000 pound RV and Jeep together. They raise the steel grating straight up using cables.

We had reservations at Abbeville Campground and stayed five nights because we had to get a front end alignment at Lafayette Spring Company.

It is a nice quiet old campground with several grumpy long term campers. Gravel pads and road in park. Had heavy rain while hooking up RV and stood in 4 inches of water to hook up electric.
