Feb 28 2019 - Route 66 to Oatman Arizona

We rode on route 66 in Kingman once while on a bus ride to the Grand Canyon.

This is our first time driving on a piece of route 66 going to Oatman Arizona to see the Burrows.

Historic Route 66.

This is a free campsite along the roadway.

Some kind of bridge thing, I have no idea what it is.

We did not see any burrows on the way in but there are a few in Oatman. Saw two a quarter mile out of town on way back to campsite.

How do people survive living out here?

Welcome to Oatman Arizona.

This is an old mine turned into a little museum.

The restrooms were closed so we had to use portables out behind the stores.

People buy food and feed the burrows on the street. They are protected by the Department of Interior.

 ATVs everywhere in Arizona.

 Smith Street.

$1 per person to see the old Jail.

A little gunfight. Guy on the left shot the guy on the right.

Sherriff shot the second guy.

The kid played the Sherriff and threw his badge down and took the loot.

Left Oatman and stopped to eat at Topock 66 restaurant.

Nice restaurant on the water way which is part of the Colorado River.

The batter was still wet and dripping inside the Onion Rings.
The turkey club on wheat was great, we shared it.

I am losing more hair.
