I had only a little bit of fish tailing at 60MPH when going to Darien.
Tightened up the load level bars on the way to Mayport and it road pretty good.
When we first unhooked from the truck in Darien, a storm was brewing and a couple minutes after I hooked up to power, a loud boom went off which I thought was an electrical transformer blowing up. Turned out to be a pine tree three spots away from us was struck by lightening and palmettos at the base of it was smoking. we had a constant water drip out of the roof AC unit but just sat a bowl on the floor to catch water. I will have to clean out the drain soon, probably dirt clogged the drain.

Lightening struck this tree
We went to Savannah Georgia for the day.
Stopped at Fort King George on highway 17 near Darien, GA.
Nothing was left here for years but thy rebuilt the fort and houses.
This is the Butler Island Plantation off highway 17 now used as office space, not much to see and not much has been preserved..
Below is the Hofwyl Broadfield plantation and I thought it was unique since the last person living here was an elderly lady about 88 years old when she died at the table. No heirs so she donated it to the state. It was a rice plantation for several generation until it was converted to raising cattle and provided milk to the local area.
So here we are at the Pelican Roost Campground at Mayport Florida.
I rated this high on my list of great campgrounds.
